| Loan Forgiveness |
Question:
I am looking for infromation about
loan
forgiveness
programs for New York
State residents? I didn't qualify
for such financial assistance in
college so educational loans were
my only alternative. The military
requires some sought of specialty,
i.e. health and medical, etc.
Teaching, government and other human
services-related sound really good
since they fall within fields I'm
interested in so if anyone has
information about loan
fogiveness vis-a-vis these areas (or
others)
please let me know. The very last
thing I want is to declare bankruptcy.

I cannot speak for loan forgiveness
programs, but I can tell you that
declaring bankruptcy won't alleviate
your Federal student loan woes. Check
the fine print regarding student loans
before you seriously consider BK.
In most cases they aren't dischargable.
