Question:
As an International Student, I eager
to know any information about Loan
available for International Student.
Would you kindly tell me about it?
Answer:
As an American student trying to
enroll overseas, I've learned the
hard way that money is hard to come
by. But uming you're a foreign student
trying to get over here, well, you're
in luck. While you're not eligible
for any federal money, most large
banks here are ready to consider
student loans for international
students enrolling at American colleges
and universities.
Generally
they require at least one (possibly
two) U.S. citizen or permanant resident
co-signers. The International Education
Finance Corporation (look it up
on a web browser) also lends to
foreign students. If that doesn't
work, you might try an international
bank, like the HSBC. My boyfriend
is from England going to school
in NC. We have both been looking
for loans for him. Since I get my
college loans from Sallie Mae, I
called them up and they do school
loans, and personal loans for international
students.. it requires a U.S. cosigner
and you can take out up to $25,000
/ yr.. and you don't have to use
it for school.., i.e., a computer,
payments on a car.
