DL And Student Loan Deferment

Question:
Many of you know that if you stay in school after graduation, your student loans stay in deferment. I've looked at the FAQ for this ng, but I have not seen anything relating to this area. My question is, Are there any DL programs that will allow me to keep my loans in deferment just as if I were at a traditional school?

I am planning on starting a Master's in Poly Sci, but I'd really like to study law. There is a law school here, but they require full-time status. While my income is good, I have a lot of debt, and I just can't afford both payments and tuition right now. I'm not doing anything dishonest or illegal, nor am I asking a school to do so. I want to stay in school, and I want to keep working full-time. I can't afford loan payments and tution, so I must be in a program that qualifies to keep my loans in deferment. I can get another Master's or Bachelor's locally (three state schools, and two private schools) but I'd rather get a law degree.

There is a private law school here two, but they are expensive and require full-time attendance. I'd like to try something like Saratoga's law program. If it (or another DL law program) will keep the loans in deferment, that would be a better way for me to go.

Answer:
I would suggest to you that legitimate distance education schools follow the same policies and procedures for financial aid that traditional schools do, and the fact they they are "distance" does not put and space between them and the law/regulations. If you were to register for a program with the intention of doing so only to defer loans, I would suggest that this would not be a good thing to tell the university/lending institution.max
I recently applied and received a P.L.A.T.O. graduate education loan from EduCap. You have the option for total deferment or partial deferment (pay interest only) while in school. This is a private loan, not a government loan. The loan was for Thomas Edison's MSM program which they had listed as a qualifying school. Get more info. at http://www.educap.org/home.htm.
