Question:
I have recently decided to take
a gap year, and my 1st choice university
have deferred my offer for 2002
entry. My question
is, "Do I have to apply for
funding
this year, the same as everyone
else at my college, or should I
apply next year when I actually
intend to start university?"
Answer:
Next year. This may mean that instead
of getting all the forms dished out
to you from school (well, some schools
do this), you have to organise yourself
- all you have to do is ring your
LEA (prob not earlier than about February)
to get the forms. If you're going
to be away, your parents can do most
of it 9possibly all of it) provided
you leave them with enough info, like
your UCAS number and course code,
and your term dates.
